Board
The board is divided into territories. A territory may be land, sea, or both. Land territory may have background terrain – such as grassland or desert- but these have no function in the game. Each territory may contain one or more symbols, and these may affect movement, income, defense and the like. A summary of the territory symbols and their effects is provided in the Territory Reference section
The board also features 8 SPs, marked. Players should also be wary of the ancient Sea Monster!!
Gameboard Pieces
280 Hexagon pieces – NOTE – These are double sided, but only one side is ever in use at a time.
Colony Pieces - 6 for each nation
24, each with a unique historical colony name.
Land Units
- 56 Colonists – 14 for each nation
- 76 Soldiers – 19 for each nation
- 76 Artillery – 19 for each nation
Laminated Sea Units
- 40 Caravels – 10 for each nation
- 40 Frigates – 10 for each nation

Player Sheets
This sheet tracks information pertaining to a player. They feature:
- SP Box – This is to note the SP that the player began the game on.
- The King’s Expeditionary Force (KEF) box – for recording the size of His Majesty’s Expeditionary Force.
- Shortfall box – for recording any shortfall he may have.
- War box – for recording the players he is at war with.
- Treaty information box – for the details of any and all treaties
- VP Score Box
- Indians box – For what level treaty a player may have with Indians
- Notes box – to track any other possible information
- On the back of the player sheet is a market reference sheet for buying and selling game units and resources.
Colony Sheets
A player tracks all information pertaining to a colony on a colony sheet, and will have one colony sheet per colony. They feature:
- Colony Name box.
- A reference list of buildings that can be constructed in the colony, consisting of cost, prerequisites, income, VPs, and a Constructed tickbox.
- Population track.
- Loyalty box – used to track whether this colony is supporting player or the King during his War of Independence. if a player captures a Colony from a player that is in the War of Independence, that Colony is now loyal to the player who captured it. This also applies if that player captured the Colony from that player’s King.
- VP of colony
- Terrain of Colony – These are boxes player may mark to note what specific terrain is in the colony
- What country the Colony belongs to.
- Revolution Box – Indicates whether the colony was owned by player the start of the war of independence. Once this is marked as yes, it is marked as yes for the duration of the game.
- ATK/DEF Box – This is note how many bonus points for ATK/DEF units get in this colony
- Artillery/Soldiers box – This is to note how many Artillery/Soldiers are fortified in the colony.

Introducing the new Founding Father Achievements! In this exciting addition, players who complete specific in-game tasks and pay the required liberty bells will earn the chance to draw a powerful Founding Father Card.

Resource Tracker
There are three resources aside from coins that players will be tasked with keeping track of. These are “Building Resources”, “Liberty Bells”, and “Indian Relations Levels”. These are tracked via the game item to the left – There is one for each player.
The Indian Relations Levels can only go up to a maximum of 5. The Liberty Bells and Building Resources go to a maximum of 59.
